These terms govern your purchase of and participation in the First Author masterclass, operated by Varadaraj Balajivenktesh — who publishes as Balaji Venktesh — of Sholinganallur, Chennai 600119, Tamil Nadu, India ("we", "us"). By registering you accept them.

What you are buying

A place in a live online workshop held over two days on Zoom, 24 and 25 October 2026, two hours each day, plus the materials listed on the registration page and access to the recording for 90 days from the end of Day 2.

Your account and seat

• Your seat is personal. Do not share the Zoom link, recording or materials with anyone else.
• Register with an email address you check — joining links and materials go there.
• We may remove a participant who disrupts the session, without a refund.

Materials and copyright

Slides, templates, workbooks, prompt libraries and recordings remain our property. You may use them for your own research and study. You may not resell, republish or distribute them, or record the live sessions yourself.

Changes and cancellation by us

If we have to move a session we will tell you by email and WhatsApp as early as we can. If we cancel the workshop outright, you get a full refund. We are not liable for costs beyond the amount you paid us.

What we do not promise

We teach the craft of writing and publishing research. We do not guarantee that any paper you write will be accepted anywhere, and we do not write, co-author or submit papers on your behalf.

Technical requirements

You need a working internet connection, a device that runs Zoom, and a browser for Overleaf. We cannot refund a missed session caused by your own connection or device, though the recording covers you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Chennai.
